Display and Design

The Apple Watch or the so called iWatch comes with a brilliant adaptable retina display covered by a powerful crystal made of sapphire to protect it against rough bruises. It is an exceptional innovation in terms of design. It is laden with a digital crown that serves as the main home button and enables you to operate the watch while having a complete look at the display.
The watch is being offered in two different sizes with heights of 38mm and 42mm. So if you have a thick wrist, at least you have an option to choose from. You can even make different gestures such as press or tap on the small screen thanks to the Force Touch technology which refers to tiny electrodes surrounding the display. The watch even houses a waterproof speaker and a heart rate sensor so that you can keep a track of daily activities.
One of the major highlights of this watch is that you will have a lot of ways to change the watch face every day. You can choose from different faces like Mickey Mouse, Modular, Motion, Solar, Astronomy, Utility, TimeLapse and others. Thus, show off a new watch every day.
The watch will come with up to 6 interchangeable straps to suit your lifestyle. These include Leather Loop, Modern Buckle, tough and durable Sport Band, Milanese Loop, Link bracelet and Classic Buckle.

Processor, Battery and Compatibility

The Apple Watch is powered by a S1 chip which accounts for all kinds of computing tasks. It is coated in resin to protect it from wear and tear. The watch can be charged via inductive charging and MagSafe unit which means you simply need to keep the rear end close to the charging port and the magnets attract it to place it in the correct position. As with other smart watches, it can be connected to the recently launched iPhone 6 and the already existing iPhone 5 models. You can definitely check out the latest notifications or texts appearing in your smartphone and retrieve the contact list. Additionally, you can adjust the volume of music running in the phone.
Expected Price: RS.30,000

Other notable features

You can also activate the SIRI program by pushing the Crown and communicate with the watch to know the time, gather information regarding the weather or find anything you are looking for. In case you want to use it for finding any route, the Morse Code feature in the Maps app comes in handy. It doesn’t ask you to stare at the screen or listen to commands; instead it guides your hand by giving appropriate sensations on your wrist.

Verdict

The Apple Watch is truly an innovation and is not just any other ordinary smart watch enabling you to keep a track of activities on your smartphone. In addition to the standard tasks, it also acts as your fitness guide and allows you to flaunt a new watch face every day. It comes in three completely different collections such as the AppleWatch Edition, AppleWatch Sport collection and AppleWatch collection.
