Microsoft as promised has launched its most affordable Lumia handset yet in India, the Lumia 430 Dual SIM. Priced at Rs. 5,299, the Microsoft Lumia 430 Dual SIM will be available in the country starting Thursday. Initially announced in March, Microsoft touts the Lumia 430 Dual SIM as its “most affordable Lumia to-date”. The Redmond giant last month had promised that the Lumia 430 Dual SIM will be unveiled for the Indian market by end of April and the company has indeed kept its promise. One of the biggest highlights of the Lumia 430 Dual SIM is it can be upgraded to Windows 10 when it becomes available later this year.

Display and Configuration
The Microsoft Lumia 430 Dual SIM features a 4-inch LCD multi touch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and a pixel density of 233ppi. It is encased in a 10.6mm thick outfit which has a weight of just 127.9g. It runs on latest Windows Phone v8.1 OS which is further upgradable to the awaited Windows 10 platform.
On the inside, it is loaded with a 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor based on Qualcomm MSM8210 Snapdragon 200 chipset. Paired with 1GB RAM and Adreno 302 GPU, it ensures seamless handling of standard applications.
Camera and Storage
The Microsoft Lumia 430 Dual SIM is armed with a 2MP camera at the back which can record 480p videos at 30fps and is accompanied by a VGA front facing snapper. It houses 8GB of internal memory which is further expandable up to 128GB.
Battery and Connectivity
Fuelled by a 1,500mAh Li-ion battery, the Microsoft Lumia 430 Dual SIM is rated to deliver up to 13 hours of talktime and up to 720 hours of standby time in 2G networks. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB port and Bluetooth.
Verdict
The Microsoft Lumia 430 Dual SIM is an attractive affordably priced smartphone with the major attraction being its robust configuration which is rare in this price.
