Micromax has launched the Canvas Spark (Q380) at an event in Gurgaon. The 3G-enabled smartphone has been priced at Rs. 4,999, and will be exclusively available via Snapdeal via a flash sale method. Registrations for the first flash sale on April 29 open at 12pm IST on Wednesday.

Display, Configuration and OS
The Micromax Canvas Spark carries a 4.7-inch IPS LCD multi touch display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and a pixel density of 234ppi. One of the key attractions of the device is its OS which is GoogleÂs latest Android v5.0 Lollipop platform. Acting as the brains of the smartphone is a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and working in tandem with a 1GB RAM to render robust performance.
Camera and Memory
The Micromax Canvas Spark is armed with an 8MP snapper and LED flash at the back along with a 2MP snapper at the front. It sports an internal memory of 8GB which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD slot.
Battery and Connectivity
To keep the show running without any disturbance for a fair period of time, the Micromax Canvas Spark relies on a 2,100mAh Li-ion battery. From the connectivity point of view, we have options like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB port.
Verdict
The Micromax Canvas Spark is the Indian smartphone maker’s challenge against many affordably priced Chinese smartphones offering standard features. It comes at an affordable price and boasts of the presence of latest Android OS.
