  2. Rename the downloaded TWRP image file as “recovery.img” and copy it to mfastboot-v2 folder.
  3. Copy the UPDATE-SuperSU-vx.x.zip file to your phone.

    • Enter the following command.
      mfastboot.exe boot recovery.img
    • When your phone boots into TWRP.
    • Tap the Install option, navigate to UPDATE-SuperSU-vx.x.zip file and install it.
  7. To root and install TWRP Recovery:
    • Issue the following command:

      mfastboot.exe flash recovery recovery.img
    • Now type the command given below to boot the phone into recovery mode:
      mfastboot.exe reboot bootloader
    • Then highlight the Recovery option using the Volume keys and press the Power button to select it.
    • In TWRP mode, tap the Install option, go to UPDATE-SuperSU-vx.x.zip and select it.
    • Swipe the confirmation slider to flash SuperSU package.
  8. Now go back to the TWRP main menu and select Reboot> System.

Unlock Bootloader on Moto E 2015

  1. Please note that unlocking the bootloader will wipe all data present on your device. We, therefore, strongly recommend you to take a backup of your entire device data, such as 3rd party apps, contacts, text messages, images, videos, etc.
  2. Download the Android SDK or the Minimal ADB and Fastboot tool on your computer.
  3. Also install Motorola USB Driver on your computer.

  9. Type or copy/paste the following command in the cmd window:
    fastboot oem get_unlock_data
  10. You will get a return string in the command window. Copy it (Right click the mouse, select Mark option and then highlight the string by Shift+dragging the mouse, and then press Ctrl+C to copy).
  11. Paste the copied string in a notepad and remove the empty spaces.
  12. Now open the Motorola website. Sign in with your Google account or Motorola ID.
  13. Now paste the copied string into the text field and then click “Can my device be unlocked?” button.motorola-bootloader-unlock
  14. You’ll see a “REQUEST UNLOCK KEY” button at the bottom of the page.
  15. Check the “I Agree” option.
  16. Your Unlock Key will be generated and emailed to you.
  17. Copy the 20-character unlock key and launch the command window again. Make sure your phone is still in Fastboot mode and connected to the computer. To ensure that the device is still connected, type
    fastboot devices
  18. Now issue the following command in the cmd (replace “UNIQUE_KEY” text with the 20-character unlock key:
    fastboot oem unlock UNIQUE_KEY
  19. Press Enter key to initiate the bootloader unlock process.
  20. When the procedure finishes, you device will reboot and you would see Bootloader Unlocked warning while your device boots up.

2. Head to Menu > Settings > About phone on your device and tap on Build number for about 7-8 times until it says you’re a developer.

3. Head back to Settings and tap on Developer options.

4. Turn ON the USB debugging option.

  1. First Download and Install Kingo Android Root on your PC. You can Download kingo Android root from kingoapp.com
  2. After that Enable USB debugging mode on your phone.
    • On Android 4.0 or 4.1,
      • Go to Settings >> Developer Options, then tick the box for “USB debugging.”
      • (You may need to switch “Developer options” to On before you can do so.)
    • On Android 4.2,
      • Tap Settings, About Phone, Developer Options, and then tick USB debugging.” Then tap OK .
    • On Android 4.3 and later (and some versions of 4.2),
      • Tap Settings >> About Phone, and then scroll down to Build Number. Tap it five to ten times, at some of point you should see the message, “You are now a developer!”
      • Now go to Settings >> About Phone >> Developer Options, and then tick USB debugging.” Then tap OK .
  1. Now connect your android device using USB Sync Cable.
  2. Run Kingo Android Root on your PC. It will look as below.
  3. After waiting a moment it’ll detect your Android device and will ask to ROOT.
