How to jailbreak iphone 6 and 6 plus

What is jailbreaking?

Jailbreaking is the process of removing restrictions in iOS, and allow root access to the iOS file system so that it can run software that has not been approved by Apple. It allows users to install jailbreak apps, tweaks and themes from Cydia to customize the look and feel of their device, and also enhance the functionality.

Can I Jailbreak iphone 6 and iphone 6 plus?

You cannot jailbreak iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus on iOS 8.2 or iOS 8.1.3 currently. However, you can jailbreak iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus if it is on iOS 8.1.2 – iOS 8 using TaiG, PPJailbreak or Pangu jailbreak. You can follow our step-by-step guide if you need help:

Jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 and iOS 8.2 on Windows using TaiG jailbreak:

Follow these instructions to jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 and iOS 8.2 using TaiG jailbreak.

Step 1: Download the latest version of TaiG jailbreak on your computer, and unzip the zip file.

Step 2: Connect your device to your computer using the USB cable.

Step 3: Disable Passcode from Settings > Touch ID & Passcode.

Step 4: Also turn off Find my iPhone from Settings > iCloud > Find my iPhone.

Step 5: Please launch the application as an Administrator. Right click on the TaiG exe and select the “Run as Administrator” option.

Step 6: TaiG will take some time to detect your device. Once you confirm that it is showing the correct firmware version, deselect the TaiG App Store (the one in Chinese), just below Cydia 1.1.16.

Step 7: Click on the green jailbreak button to proceed. You will see the circular progress bar.

Step 8: After the jailbreak is complete, your device will reboot automatically, and you should should see the Cydia icon on the Home screen.

Jailbreak iphone 6 and iphone 6 plus iOS 8.1.1 and iOS 8.2 on MAC using PPJailbreak :

Follow these instructions to jailbreak iOS 8.1.2 using PP jailbreak.

Step 1: Download the latest version of PP jailbreak on your computer.

Step 2: Connect your device to your computer using the USB cable.

Step 3: Disable Passcode from Settings > Touch ID & Passcode.

Step 4: Also turn off Find my iPhone from Settings > iCloud > Find my iPhone.

Step 5: Double click on the PP Jailbreak file to launch it.

Step 6: PP Jailbreak will take some time to detect your device. Once you confirm that it is showing the correct firmware version, deselect the check box at the bottom as it seems to install the Chinese pirated app store.

Step 7: Click on the button at the center to proceed.

Step 8: Click on the button to the right on the next page to proceed, where it tells you to disable the passcode and Find my iPhone feature.

Step 9: After the jailbreak is complete, your device will reboot automatically, and you should should see the Cydia icon on the Home screen.

Please don’t forget to re-enable the passcode and Find My iPhone feature after successfully jailbreaking your device.

If you’re on iOS 8.1 – iOS 8, then you can use Pangu to jailbreak your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. You can follow our step-by-step guide if you need help:

Jailbreak iphone 6 and iphone 6 plus iOS 8.1.1 and iOS 8.2 on MAC using Pangu

Step 1: Download the latest version of Pangu jailbreak on your computer.

Step 2: Connect your device to your computer using the USB cable.

Step 3: Turn off Find my iPhone from Settings > iCloud > Find my iPhone, enable Airplane mode, Disable Passcode from Settings > Touch ID & Passcode.

Step 4: Right click on the Pangu dmg file. It will inform you that “Pangu8″ is an application downloaded from the Internet, and if you’re sure you want to open it. Click on the Open button to continue.

Step 5: Pangu will take some time to detect your device. Once that is done, click on the blue “Start Jailbreak” button.

Step 6: If you’ve taken a backup of your device using iTunes, and followed the other instructions mentioned in Step 3 then click on the Already Did to proceed to the jailbreak.

Step 7: The jailbreak process will start and will display the status such as:

• Starting jailbreak ..
• Transferring resources for jailbreaking ..
• Preparing the environment ..
• Waiting for device rebooting ..
• Preparing the environment ..
• Injecting ..
• Jailbreaking ..
• Final Cleaning…

During the jailbreak proceed your device will reboot several times, so don’t panic, it is expected behavior.

Step 8: Once the process completes, Pangu8 will inform you that Jailbreak Succeeded!You should see the Cydia icon on your home screen.

After successfully jailbreaking your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, you can disable AirPlane mode and re-enable passcode and Find my iPhone.
