Lava has launched its new Iris series smartphone, the Iris X5 4G. The smartphone comes with 8MP front camera. This is the only LAVA smartphone which features 8 MP front camera at the price of Rs.10,199. This Iris X5 4G has a glass back with anti-smudge coating and supports 4G connectivity, including support for FDD-LTE 1800 MHz (Band 3) and TDD-LTE 2300 MHz (Band 40) for India. Design & Display
The Lava Iris X5 4G is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device and comes with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display offering a pixel density of 294ppi. It also features Asahi Dragon trail glass. The handset measures 14.2 x 0.8 x 7.1 cm and weighs 127 grams.
Configuration & OS
Under the hood the smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The highlight of the smartphone is it supports 4G networks, as the name suggests, and is compatible with 4G bands in India. Another highlight of the Lava Iris X5 4G is it runs the firm’s new ‘Star OS’, which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Camera & Storage
The Lava Iris X5 4G has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with 1.4-micron pixel size, f2.0 aperture, 5P lens, Blue Glass filter and two LED flash lights. It has an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. The front camera too has Blue Glass filter and it comes with 4P lens and can produce images in pixels of 1.4-micron size.
Storage wise too the phone looks superb with 16 GB of internal memory and an expandable storage slot that can hold a 32 GB micro SD card.

The Lava Iris X5 4G is loaded with connectivity options such as GPRS, EDGE, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, and GPS for those who are reliant on the internet majorly.
