The next generation Asus Pegasus has been announced by Asus Mobiles. Asus has unveiled a smartphone called the Asus Pegasus 2 Plus with model number X550. The new Asus smartphone is said to be the successor to the Pegasus smartphone, which was launched in December last year. The Asus Pegasus 2 Plus has really taken the Pegasus series to a new end. It comes in two models- one with 2GB RAM plus 16GB internal memory, other with 3GB RAM plus 32GB internal memory.

Display and Configuration

The Asus Pegasus 2 Plus is a dual-SIM handset that features a 5.5-inch full-HD screen, much like Asus ZenFone 2’s high-end smartphones. It supports a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel. The smartphone will be available in Rose Gold and White colour options.

The Asus Pegasus 2 Plus smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 615 chipset that includes a 64-bit octa-core processor. The SoC is supported with 3 GB of RAM. The smartphone will be featuring Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box and it will be overlaid with Zen UI from Asus. By this it becomes the first Asus device to receive the most recent Android version.

Camera and Storage

Asus Pegasus 2 Plus combines dual-powerful camera for shooting which includes a 13-MP rear camera with Dual LED flash and 8-MP front facing camera for clicking selfies and making video call.

For storage needs, the Asus Pegasus 2 Plus comes in several internal memory variants 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB, which users can further enhanced up to 128GB via a microSD card.

The device is fueled by a healthy 3,030mAh battery, which delivers an extra few hours of usage, even when the battery is below 15 percent, thanks to an ultra-low power mode.
