InFocus, the US-based smartphone maker, is furthering its partnership with Snapdeal with the upcoming launch of a new Android 4.4 KitKat smartphone in India, dubbed the InFocus M330. Priced at Rs. 9,999, the InFocus M330 is the second smartphone from the firm set for release in India after the InFocus M2, which launched last month.

Design & Display
InFocus M330 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen has a resolution of 720×1280, which translates to a pixel density of 267ppi. The screen has adequately saturated colours and doesn’t look pixellated. InFocus protects the screen using a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The M330 has a very large body and weighs almost 170g. We had to use two hands to comfortably operate the M330. While the whole body is made of plastic, a metal trim runs around the edges of the phone.
Configuration & OS
InFocus M330 is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, coupled with Mali-450 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) InFocus M330 runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.
Camera & Storage
The primary camera on the rear can shoot 13-megapixel still images and 1080p videos thanks to its Sony Exmor CMOS sensor. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel secondary camera on the front.
For the storage purpose InFocus M330 has 16GB of internal storage space. The storage space can be expanded by 64GB using a microSD card.
Battery & Connectivity
The smartphone packs a 3100mAh Li-Po battery, which according to Snapdeal listing can deliver up to 18 hours of talk time and up to 550 hours of standby time.
The InFocus loses out to the competition on the connectivity front because both SIM cards are limited to 3G connectivity. This might be alright for the moment, but is not good for anyone looking for a future-proof device because 4G support is missing. The other Connectivity options on the InFocus M330 include 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB OTG connectivity.
Verdict
The InFocus M330 is a very impressive phablet at a lucrative price. The major attraction of this device is undoubtedly its powerful configuration comprising of an octa-core processor. But the pair of cameras deserves equal applause as well, especially if you love capturing selfies.
