Huawei Technologies Co Ltd launched on Tuesday the Huawei Honor 4C smartphone, the latest bid by the Chinese technology firm to gain market share in the highly competitive budget handset segment from domestic rivals such as Xiaomi Inc.According to Huawei, Honor 4C will first be released in the company’s home market, followed by other countries.

Display, Build and Configuration
The Huawei Honor 4C poses a 5-inch IPS LCD multi touch display with HD resolution and a pixel density of 294ppi. It is housed in an 8.8mm thick outfit which has a weight of 162g and is available in gold, white and black colours.
Doing duty under the hood is a 1.2GHz octa-core processor based on HiSilicon Kirin 620 chipset. Paired with a 2GB RAM, it exhibits powerful and seamless performance at anything. It sails on Emotion 3.0 UI based on Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS.
Camera and Memory
The Huawei Honor 4C comes with a 13MP autofocus camera which supports LED flash, panorama, face detection, geo-tagging, touch focus and HDR and can record full HD videos at 30fps. It also gets a 5MP front snapper which supports HD video recording. It has an internal memory of 8GB which is further expandable up to 32GB.
Battery and Connectivity
The Huawei Honor 4C sips juice from a 2,550mAh Li-ion battery and can be connected via 3G, GLONASS, Mobile hotspot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB port and GPS/A-GPS.
Verdict
The Huawei Honor 4C is an impressive 5-inch smartphone in the mid-range family. The combination of octa-core processor and 2GB RAM makes it way more powerful than its rivals in the same range. Go for it if you are okay with its size.
